Wi4B was founded in Bologna with the ambition to make IoT reliable, secure, and scalable for cities, districts, defence, and large facilities. Rooted in advanced research with University of Bologna, we developed our own hardware, firmware, and cloud middleware — ensuring full control over the entire IoT value chain.

Over the years, our iLCS platform has evolved into a trusted solution for mission-critical infrastructures, managing over 100,000 devices worldwide and delivering measurable results: reduced energy consumption, lower CO₂ emissions, improved resilience, and enhanced operational continuity.

Our story begins in Bologna, where collaborations with the University of Bologna laid the foundation for advanced wireless networking and IoT research. But research was only the starting point: Wi4B has grown into an innovation hub that continuously evolves its platform.
